Our Logo says it all
The Practical Cook logo defines the brand itself so does the name.
Women have been playing an integral part in shaping Bengali cuisine and the logo is dedicated to all the women around the world who spend endless hours in their kitchen to give us food on the table . For me its my grand mom, my mom and Mongola mashi, our house help. The lady depicts a typical Bengali woman holding a fish in her hands. Since West Bengal lies in the East of India surrounded by water bodies, 'Maach' or Fish plays an integral part in a Bengali's life. We need fish for every occasion and our lunch is incomplete without a piece of fish. Its said we can eat fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Practical Cook is founded by a Bengali woman who wants to give the world a taste of Bengal, keeping cooking simple yet delectable. Cooking doesn't have to be stressful and time consuming, The Practical Cook is about keeping things practical for everyday life and our spice mixes gives you the taste of authentic Bengali home cooked food at the comfort of your home .
